Artist Profile: Chae Lee

Chae Lee graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London with an BA Hons. in Fine art in 2018. She will be furthering her artistic studies at Chelsea College of Art. Her paintings are abstract, incorporating colour-field and geometric shapes. The paintings featured in this exhibition are a response to the artists experience and feelings of ‘blackouts’. Chae relates how her symptoms differed from the typical use of the word blackout and how it effected the visual reception of her surroundings as these surroundings darkened. The paintings are an extension of this incident.
